Bio

My education was at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and for many years I worked there at the Todman Center for Film and Television. It housed the primary soundstage for thesis shooting and multiple camera live video. Also a full scene shop, casting and rehearsal space, editing suites, an animation room and classrooms. I gave tutorials on set construction, art direction, lighting, camera, audio and more. I also constructed all the scenic elements for the facility: flats, platforms, and headers. For special events and classes I built sets, lit them, set up audio and media playback.

In an advisory capacity I've read and evaluated hundreds of scripts, guided students through the casting process, consulted on production issues and edits.

At the same time I pursued my interest in music, recording and sound design. I released music on several independent labels, remixed other artists, scored short films and created sound design elements for theatre and radio. I'm a member of BMI and The Society of Composers and Lyricists.

I also write and plan to increase my output in the coming year. So far I have two feature comedy scripts completed and more projects on the way.

I enjoy helping others reach their creative potential by sharing what I've learned and experienced. As a consultant I believe in being honest and direct so work may be improved or problems averted. In my own efforts I am constantly striving to improve my craft and grow creatively. I continue to attend industry panels and seminars to stay up to date on what's new and relevant with the technical and creative sides of storytelling.
